Kirk got to go to Lake Quinault for some presentations on Thursday and Friday. Since it was quite the drive, work got a hotel room for him, so I got to tag along!!! It was the first time I've ever left Kaden over night. I was more worried about him than Erika, but she turned out to be the one missing us!! Thanks to DeWin and Shawn for watching our kids. We SOOO appreciate it!!!
Kirk got done with presentations on Thursday at 2, so after checking into the hotel we headed out for some hiking. We got to see the world's largest Spruce Tree as well as the world's largest Red Cedar Tree. It was pretty cool and we just had a great time not worrying about feeding kids, bedtime, naps and all that other fun stuff. So, thanks for a great getaway!!!!

that's gonna be the next squished penny destination. P.S. my kids are still awake? why, because their dad put them down for naps at 4:00. deep sigh. at least they're in bed. whatever. cute pics of your trip.
