He's Finally Here!!!!

Sorry I took so long to share our great news! I finally feel like sitting at the computer for a minute!!! We went in Thursday morning at 6:00 to be induced. My doctor came in at 7:30 and broke my water. I started having contractions about 7:45, at 9:00 I got my epidural. By 11:00 the initial dose of the epidural was wearing off and the anesthesiologist gave me something to supplement it. My nurse checked me at that time and said I was dilated to a 10 and we'd have the baby out before my medicine kicked in. So, by 11:15 the doctor was there, we started pushing! I had 4 contractions and pushed 3 times with each. He was out by 11:31!!!!

He is beautiful! He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. We're both doing great!! He started nursing like a pro and has done very well. I'm feeling pretty good. Much better than I did with Erika! Grandma is here helping and Kirk doesn't have to go back to work until Wednesday. It's fun to have him here and we're so grateful for our little miracle!!!
